Pinger.app

Pinger.app is a little tool that pings a remote at regular intervals to see if the network connection is ok. If the target is no longer reachable, the application shows a different status bar icon and is able to run a script. When it detects that the remote is up again, it can run another script.
The package contains two pairs of AppleScript scripts as examples Scripts can either be shell scripts or everything that is supported by the Open Scripting Architecture. In the later case, the script name needs to start with "osa:". If it is an OSA-script and the script path starts with "@", the script will be searched within the Pinger.app bundle

Preferences

When first starting you need to give the target IP at the preferences panel:

The field "IP address" either takes an IP or a hostname, but it is recommended to take an IP address.
